Spring is a time for renewal and the perfect excuse to give your kitchen a refresh with new décor and accessories. There’s no need to break the bank buying items… there are some simple updates you can make without spending a lot of money or adding clutter to your space.
Swap out the cutting board that has seen better days and the plain plastic cooking utensils and replace them with ones that have a little more pizazz. You have to have all these things in your kitchen, but there's nothing saying they have to be boring and plain. Spring is also a great excuse to toss all your dish towels that have seen better days and replace them with new, fresh towels.
Fresh flowers and blooms are readily available in the spring time. You can bring color and interest into the space by adding a vase of fresh flowers to your kitchen countertop. No need for a large, over-the-top floral arrangement… just a few stems will do the trick!
Original, colorful artwork is just at our fingertips with so many artists making their pieces available on Minted and Etsy. You don't need to make a huge investment - a small print is an affordable way to own a piece of original art. You can frame it and then rest it on your countertop, or even hang it up on an empty wall.
Wood and natural wovens, such as wicker and raffia, are such a great addition to any space. They add texture and interest, as well as warmth. Find a large bowl and fill it with citrus and your kitchen will be spring ready!
