Design of the Month - JanuaryDesign of the Month - January

Over the past decade, Cabinets.com has designed countless kitchens – some small, some big, and a lot of them white (as it is so popular with our customers!). All of our customers' kitchens are unique and have their own story to tell.

Today, we're starting our Design of the Month series to showcase our favorite kitchen designs each month. Our kitchen designers work one-on-one with our customers to create the kitchen of their dreams. Often times, our customers tell us that their Cabinets.com designer brought their vision to life!

The design we're featuring to start off the series this month is a transitional kitchen designed by one of our talented designers, Cally.

Designing the Kitchen

Before this customer's renovation, their kitchen felt very closed off and outdated. They wanted a full makeover for their space!

Cally worked with our customer to update the layout by removing the peninsula, changing some of the appliance locations, and adding an island. By adding an island, it provided more entry points though the kitchen and created a better flow pattern through the space. Not to mention, islands provide a lot of storage space!

For the wall cabinets, mullion doors were added to keep the space light and airy. This also allows the customer to display items like pretty china and dishware within the cabinets.
