All Cabinets.com appliance cabinets are manufactured with a small framed opening that is intended to be modified on site to fit your specific appliances. This allows flexibility to fit a variety of appliance makes and models, and gives you the ability to get a custom fit. However, with this, it is important to understand what appliance types work best and where you may have to make additional on-site accommodations to fit your desired appliances.
Below are the options for built-in appliance cabinets we offer in our Framed & Assembled kitchen cabinets line.
This cabinet is intended for a double oven unit, or in some cases a combination microwave oven unit. Most double ovens will take a large portion of the opening, and leave around 2” above and below the unit. If it is used for a combination microwave oven unit, there may be around 6” of space above and below the appliance. Though the bottom drawer is quite small, the advantage of this cabinet is that you have one large vertical opening that can fit almost any double oven or combination microwave oven.
This cabinet is intended for a single oven and separate built-in microwave unit. The fixed shelf and rail create a divider between the two appliances. This cabinet can also be used for a combination microwave oven unit, if you choose to remove the center fixed rail and shelf to create one large opening between the top and bottom drawer. The advantage of this is that you get a larger drawer below and less wasted space.
This cabinet is intended for a single oven unit, with the two cabinets varying in doors or drawers below and some slight limitations on width, for each one.
This cabinet is intended for a single microwave oven that is a “built-in” model. This appliance should be a countertop unit with an accessory metal trim kit or a drawer microwave. If you choose to use this cabinet for a non-built-in microwave, you will want to consider the visibility of the natural maple interior, as well as the exposed edges that have been cut.
